A Sign of Great Things to Come
“We’ve been walking around this lake for some time now praying that we would be able to get a home here. There was always a sense of peace and the feeling that this was where we were meant to be. We felt like it was ours before we knew.”
Gina and LeRon are no strangers to being homeowners. With a big backyard and friendly neighbors, they were content in their Vacaville home. And when they purchased it, they wholeheartedly felt it would be where they spent their forever together. Once the pandemic hit, Gina got the feeling that it was time to find a new home—that their true forever was out there waiting for them.
“There were so many signs telling us it was the right time to find the home of our dreams, and we began our search in mid-March.”
They ended up looking at a few resale homes within Solano County along with a new development nearby. Everything newer was sold out or beyond their budget, and everything older did not suit their needs. Their realtor took them to check out the brand new One Lake development, and as soon as they set foot on the property, they felt that immediate sense of belonging.
“We hadn’t seen the models or the pricing, but we knew One Lake was where we were meant to be. It’s like a little oasis in Fairfield, and the vision for the whole community is so unique and unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.”
Once they moved into their brand new home at Creston at One Lake, it became clear how much better of a fit the spacious two-story design was for their family. The open and airy feel has completely transformed their lives with more opportunities to spend time with their children in the great room and upstairs loft. While there’s more room to run and play, there are also perks for mom and dad with extra closet space for LeRon and a private home office for Gina.
“There are so many benefits that come with this house, like solar panels and stylish design elements, but the natural lighting cannot be beat. We get to experience the sunrises and sunsets right from our living room with incredible colors shining through the windows.”
With that said, it’s clear that the outdoors is always calling at One Lake—and Gina and LeRon are amazed by the amenities right outside their door, from Journey Coffee Co. to the community lake. They love walking or biking around the water as a family and watching others enjoy their time spent here, whether it be kite flying, kayaking or paddleboarding. And there’s so much they are looking forward to with the Resident’s Lake Club coming soon and other amenities that will allow them to be active and engaged in their surroundings.
“We are a family who loves the water and being outdoors. Being in nature and under the sun is an experience we didn’t want our kids to miss out on. We wanted that experience to be right where they are—and that’s what One Lake is all about.”
Not only did Gina and LeRon find their dream home, but they were able to help another family find theirs. Their former neighbor’s childhood best friend ended up renting their Vacaville home from them, which reassures their belief that this new home opportunity was meant for them. And they’re looking forward to creating more of those neighborly bonds with One Lake’s newest residents.
“We feel blessed to be part of this community from the very beginning and to watch it grow. We’ve been meeting so many incredible people, telling our stories and swapping new home tips, and we’re so excited to have this newfound family to share this all-inclusive home experience with.”
